With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melanie Dawn Kauhane (Mission, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025 at the age of 33. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Melanie Dawn had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Melanie Dawn may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her sister Michelle; and her grandparents, Inga, Bernard Suchlandt and Reggie Skitsko. She is survived by: her husband Christopher; her daughter Kalia; her parents, Gail Skitsko and Harry Suchlandt; her brother Mark Suchlandt; and her grandmother Shirley Elder. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Cedar Valley Church (32860 Cherry Ave, Mission, BC V2V2T9).
