He was predeceased by: his wife Else Mushrow (Belz); his parents, Peter Mushrow and Mary Mushrow (Buffett); his siblings-in-law, Franz, Heinz Belz, Margaret Kluge (Belz) and Mary Mushrow (Barter); and also, Frederick, Josefa Belz (Rogg) and Ronald Battiste.
He is survived by: his siblings, Maxine Battiste, Lloyd, Garry (Nancy), Danny (Emma) and Wayne (Joan) of Middle Sackville, NS; his nephew Hermann Kluge (Birgit) of Germany; and his sister Maureen Jones (Ken) of Chilliwack. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
