He is survived by: his wife Eileen of Nanaimo, BC; his sons, Justin Ellis (Karen) and Robert Ellis (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Bentley, Sydney, Kennedy, Liam and Rylee Ellis; his siblings, Linda (Bruce), Barbara (Andrew), Darlene (Ricky), Eldred Ellis (late Sharon), Vic Ellis (Robin) of Calgary, Wade Ellis (Marie) and Gary Ellis (Jackie); and his sister-in-law Gail of Hope, B. C..

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sands Funeral Home (1 Newcastle Ave, Nanaimo, BC V9S4H6).
