He was predeceased by : his parents, Ted Tinga and Irene Tinga; and his siblings, Francis, Edith, Ted and Chris.

He is survived by : his significant other Eva; his children, Scott (Joanne), Sandy (Sally) and Colleen; his grandchildren, Randi Mason (Tyrel), Colin and Chad; and his siblings, Norman (Peggy), Stuart and Rena (Bill).
