He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frances McVay and Dale McVay. He was also cherished by his four children, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brother, niece, nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 225 Derby Pl, Nanaimo, BC V9R6H3.
