He was predeceased by: his grandfather Kevin Smith; and his cousin Adair McConaghy. He is survived by: his parents, Laura Smith and Matthew Friesen; his siblings, Emily Heath (Luke) and Lewis Friesen; his grandparents, Elmer, Gaile Friesen and Hanna Friesen; his aunts, Keri Durston (Bruce Trott), Brenda Sawatzky (Marty) and Amanda Mackay (Mark); his uncle Kris Friesen; and his cousins, Kianna Durston, Matthew Trott, Sepp McConaghy, Haley Pelland, Tyler Pelland, Hunter, Gavin Mackay and Liam Friesen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sands Funeral Chapel (1 Newcastle Ave, Nanaimo, BC V9S4H6). A reception will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
