“Dear Kristen, Al, Kaitlyn, Morgan, and “sweet little Ava” (Pat’s exact words when describing her new granddaughter many years ago) - I didn’t know Pat very well but we often sat together when our girls, Kristen and Andrea, played basketball together in high school. The word that comes to mind when I think of Pat is “soft.” Her voice and her very nature were soft and gentle. She seemed to me to be genuinely kind, deeply content with her life. And she loved you all fiercely.”
