He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Carpenter and Mary Carpenter; his wife Marge; his sister Jeannie (Ross); his children, Mike (Sarah), Jim (Heather) and Nicole (Mike); and his grandchildren, Isabella, Max and Mateo. He was also cherished by many extended family and special friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Andrew's United Church (315 Fitzwilliam St, Nanaimo, BC V9R3A6). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Aspengrove School (7660 Clark Dr, Lantzville, BC V0R2H0).
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.
