She was predeceased by : her husband Carmelo. She is survived by : her children, Mariagina (Andrew), Anna (Dave) and Gerry (Unjali); and her grandchildren, Giancarlo, Nadia, Luca and Milana.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish (2025 Napier St, Vancouver, BC V5L2N8). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Ocean View Burial Park (4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC V5J1A3).

In lieu of flowers Giovanna would like donations sent to ALS Society https://als.ca or the ICU Unit of Lions Gate Hospital.
