He was predeceased by: his son Richard Bruce; his parents, Tonnis and Geertruida; and his siblings, Baya Bronk, Gerty Maarhuis, Casey, Piet, John, Richard and Herman.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Ganzeveld; his daughters, Janice Annette Brandle (Tim) of West Kelowna and Carolyn Grace Taylor (Tony) of West Kelowna; his siblings, Joe (Gerdy) of Abbottsford, Mina Kerkhof of Vernon, Dina Van, Meulen of Abbottsford and Trina Hooiveld (Lawrence) of Sardis; and his siblings-in-law, Patsy, Shirley Powers, Pat Boyle and Ralph Maarhuis. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
