She was predeceased by: her husband Ben Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Donna Thompson (Stephen Craig), Jean Edwards (Harvey), Edward Thompson (Joanne Kirouac), Andrew Thompson and Jeffery Murphy; her grandchildren, Jocy, Matthew, Shawn and Sara; her great grandchildren, Kayla, Jonah, Jacob, Logan, Emery, Emathyst, Freya and August; her sisters, Audrey Haney (Jerry Legendre) and Colleen Putman (Dennis); her cousins, Betty Ann Beer and Cathy Moriarity; her friends, Verna Gilchrist and Ray Wilson; and her children, Charity and Burnaby Hospital Foundation. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Variety – The Children's Charity of BC, Canadian Cancer Society, or Burnaby Hospital Foundation – Oncology or Palliative Care Units would be appreciated.
