He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Amy; his siblings, Linda and Paul; and his brother-in-law Patrick.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Blair (Teressa) and Meghan; his grandchildren, Jessy, Katelyn and Tristyan; his siblings-in-law, Tom Riley, Dale Bulley (Tracy), Lorraine Hunter, Sandra Smit and Nidia Low; and his grandchild Vancouver Canucks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers it was Ivan's wish that any memorial contributions be made to the "Princeton and District Highway Extraction Society" via Valley First Credit Union in Princeton.
