In the vast expanse of eternity, Jack shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jack farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Suzanne and Rob; and his grandchildren, Liz, Tyler, Alexandra and Everette.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada or the International Dark-Sky Association, organizations Jack held dear in his mission to preserve the night sky for generations to come.
