José Ladeira Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of José Ladeira (Oliver, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Carmina Gabriel and Antonio Joaquim Ladeira; and his siblings, Floriano Ladeira and Ermelinda Gabriel Ladeira. He is survived by: his wife Maria Ladeira; his daughters, Fernanda Ladeira (Francisco Patricio) and Carla Ladeira (Michael Penalosa); and his grandchildren, Sofia, Dominic Penalosa and Gabriel Patricio. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (6044 Spartan St, Oliver, BC V0H1T6). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted for the Aplastic Anemia & Myelodysplasia Association of Canada, dedicated to José Ladeira.
