He was predeceased by: his sisters, Victoria Ellchuk and Violet Bretecher; and his former wife Juliette Ellchuk. He is survived by: his children, Loriane Dheilly (Roland Poirier) of Haywood, Manitoba, Gillian Stohler (Mike Stohler) of Summerland, BC, Naomi Ellchuk-Holliday (Aaron Holliday) of Vernon, BC and Eric Ellchuk (Simonne Ellchuk) of Kelowna, BC.; his grandchildren, Will, Sierra, Katarina, Natasha, Tobias, Nicola, Helena, Julianne and Marcus; and his great grandchildren, Sadie and Chloe.
