He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Martens and Sara Martens (Enns); his siblings, Henry, Jacob, Katherine (Johnson) and Erna (Thiessen); his son-in-law Darren Kindberg; and his great grandchild Amelia Martens.
He is survived by: his wife Susanna Klassen; his children, John (June Johnsson) of Kelowna, Victor (Kayleen Wilkins) of Abbotsford, David of Penticton and Sheila Kindberg; his grandchildren, Nicholas Martens (Jodi Christianson) of West Kelowna, Valerie Martens of Kelowna, Claire Southwell (Daniel) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Fraser Martens (Roberta Dahlin) of Boise Idaho; and his great grandchildren, Alexander, Charlotte, Hannah, Liam, Nathan, Peter, Rosa, Timothy Martens, James and John Southwell.
