He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne Johansen; his parents, Charles Johansen and Williama Mabley; and his brothers, Jack Johansen and Edward Johansen.

He is survived by: his wife Ardell Johansen; his children, Martin Johansen (Melanie) and Kim Johansen (Joseph King); his grandchildren, Kristopher Karklin, Ciara Johansen, Megan Johansen and Maklen Zinger; his sister Pauline; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Yaeger and Tony Novotny Jr.. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
