He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ralph and Norman. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his stepchildren, Deborah Arbour (Brian), Jim Robins and Shelley Payne; his grandchildren, Thomas, Ashley, Sherri Lynn, Laura and David; and his brother Lawrence West (Marianne). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

“I am sorry to hear of Stan's passing. He was my uncle. I am Beth, Normans daughter. I stopped to visit him in June 2019 and stayed for several hours. I never got to know him as a child, as he and my dad didn't get along - two stubborn West men. I enjoyed meeting and visiting with him. He told me stories of my grandparents and all the Wild things the West boys did. We laughed and talked, then went downstairs and sang songs together at the piano. He and I cried. I was sad to say goodbye.”
