He was predeceased by: his parents, Nessie Watts and Adam Watts. He is survived by: his siblings, Chief Hugh Watts (Tuffy), Ivan Watts, Esther Casavant (Bibsy) and Jim Hamilton (Hobby); his sons, Ivan Daniel Watts, Dean Flagel and Rustee George Walker Watts; his niece Shaunee Margaret Casavant; and his siblings, Juanita Elliott, Sandra Vissia, Sharean Van Volsen, Rose Petrilli (Gal), Buddy Hamilton, Ron Hamilton and Peter Hamilton-Watts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Ty Watson House or Tsawaayuus (Rainbow Gardens) are encouraged.
