She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dauncey Sr. and Margaret "Nellie" Dauncey; and her brother John Dauncey Jr.. She is survived by: her significant other Roy Copeland; her children, Jennifer Garcia and Brent Vermette; her children-in-law, Deone Garcia and Haejin Kim; her partner's children, Stephen Copeland (Karen) and Lisa Ruddell; her grandchildren, Adan Garcia, Anya Garcia, Brayden Vermette, Brennan Ruddell, Lachlan Ruddell, Georgia Ruddell, Courtney Copeland and Kyle Copeland; her sisters, Arlene Croteau, Wilma McRae (Ron) and Muriel McPhail (Kirk); her former husband Laurence "Peewee" Vermette; her siblings-in-law, Lynn Mickalko and Bob Vandermolen; Rochelle Datinguinoo. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alberni Valley Hospice Society.
