Gordon Dyck Obituary

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Dyck on May 19, 2022 at the age of 85. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Carleen. His children, Murray (Sheila), Shannon (Dwayne), Brent (Shannon), grandchildren, Kristin (Pete), Kyle, Rylan, Hannah (Erick), Jennifer, Brennan, Robin (Heather), Ryan and 9 loving great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, Myrna Larkin and his parents John and Hannah Dyck.
Gordon was born in Vernon, BC and spent most of his life in Powell River before retiring and moving to the Okanagan. During his years in Powell River, he was employed as a self loading logging truck operator. He also enjoyed playing and coaching soccer. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was always smiling, and joking around (sometimes not at the most opportune times). He will most certainly be remembered for his infectious laugh. After retirement, Gordy and Carleen became Snowbirds, spending many winter months down South.
