“I was saddened to learn of Dr. Kopala’s passing. She warmly welcomed me to the Dept. of Psychiatry at Dal in 1997, and her wise words stayed with me throughout my career. She always left me feeling appreciated, and I learned so much from her. And then there's her chair. When Lili was leaving Dalhousie, she learned that I needed a new office chair. It ended up in my home office, where it has been warmly referred to as the “Lili Kopala chair” by everyone in my family ever since.”
