Vivian Norma (Martin) Kaban Obituary

Vivian Norma Kaban (née Martin)
March 31, 1944 – October 8, 2026
Vivian Norma Kaban passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Born at Powell River General Hospital on March 31, 1944, she grew up in Wildwood. She lived most of her life in Powell River, working for many years at the Complex and then in Administration with the City of Powell River. Vivian will be remembered for her generosity, often giving beyond her means, her enjoyment of trips to the cabin, family dinners, the pride she took in her family and to finally be a Nona.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Kyrie), her cherished grandchild, Luke, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vivian was predeceased by her parents, Girolamo and Amalia Martin; her brothers, Dino and Albert; and her sister, Louise.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
There will be a graveside service at 1pm November 10, 2026 at the Cranberry Cemetery.
