He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jean Baptiste Lagimodiere and Caroline Lagimodiere; his parents, Rose Anne Pinkerton and William Moyan; his stepfather Robert Pinkerton; his siblings, Josephine Moyan, Agnes Kaska, Lawrence Moyan, John Moyan, Charlie Moyan and Gary Pinkerton; his niece Willow Moyan; and his nephews, John Moyan Junior (Agnes) and Rick Moyan (Lorraine).

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Moyan; his sons, Virgil Moyan and Shawn Fors (Dianna); his grandchildren, Jocelyn Fors, Lucas Moyan and Logan Moyan; and his sisters, Darlene Swiderski and Marlene Settee Baba (George). He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
