He was predeceased by: his parents, Margareta and Otto; his daughter Jacqualine; and his brother Ulrich. He is survived by: his children, Darrin and Jennifer (Dean); his wife Janice; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Zac, Kyle, Kassidy, Keirsten and Kalia.

He retired at age 81 and half, due to pressure from his loving wife and Covid closures.
