We announce the death of Elsie Margaret Goebel in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 94. Elsie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Elsie will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Elsie will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Elsie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Jack Goebel; and her son Donald. She is survived by: her sons, Jack (Karen), Scott (Joyce), Terry (Janet) and Robert (Shirley); and her brother Lorne Neifer (June). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, and to honour Elsie's deep love for animals, donations may be made in her memory to the BC SPCA.
