She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Louis Folk and Brucella Folk; her husband Ernie Gentles; her children, Debra Tataryn, Wes Gentles (Annika), Everett Gentles and Chris Gentles; her grandchildren, Andrew, Kelly, Robin, Logan, Aurora and Caden; and her sisters, Pat Pethick (Bob), Sylvia Riehl (Doug) and Anita Folk. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
