He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruno Zappone and Caterina Zappone; his son James; his wife Dorothy Dyck; and his brothers, Jim, Carl, Bruno and Joe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy (Ross) and Terry (George); his grandchildren, Ben (Anne), Cara (Mark), Robyn (Josh), Jamie and Murray; and his great grandchildren, Tanner (Erin) and Rowan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
