Marques (Carvalho) Rita Batista Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marques (Carvalho) Rita Batista (Richmond, British Columbia), who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Marques may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marques touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Claudio Batista; and her brother Teodosio. She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth and Christine (Dennis); and her grandsons, Michael (Alessandra) and Jules (Hailey).
