She was predeceased by: her husband Ken Cummings; her siblings, Eleanor Newton (Wally), George Wagner, Arthur Wagner (Elsie), Gordon Wagner (Norma) and Frank Wagner (Mary); and her siblings-in-law, Betty-Lou Wagner, Gladys Beech (Roy), Virginia Smiley (Ken) and Harold Cummings (Lorene).

She is survived by: her daughters, Gaye (Strat) and Glenda (Keith); her grandchildren, Paige Leggat, Shanni Eckford (Mike), Gabrielle Tilt (Evan) and Michael Richens (Lorrie); her great grandchildren, Nylah (Nima), Will, Colm Eckford, Leighton, Lachlan, Alexandra Eyre, Oliver, Nessa Tilt, Dakota, Elias Jones, Cinnamin and Cadence Walker; and her siblings, David Wagner and Elaine Wagner.

In later years of her life, George Sperle and Joyce spent many years supporting each other and they travelled extensively until the year of the Covid virus.
