Ruth leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ruth’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Ruth will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Penner and Edna Penner; her husband Dick Aylard; and her brothers, Hank and Rob.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy (Tom), Rob (Deanna), Janet (Jeff), Kerry (Sue), Pat (Kara) and Alana (Steve). She is also survived by grandchildren, 9 siblings, in laws, and long-time friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Gathering Place (350 30 St NE, Salmon Arm, BC V1E1J2).
