Søren Hansen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Søren Hansen (Salmon Arm, British Columbia), who died on November 21, 2025, at the age of 82,. Born in Handerslev. Denmark, he came to Canada in 1951. After a long struggle with cancer Søren died peacefully at home wis his loving partner and best friend, Judith Karding, by his side. He leaves to mourn his daughter Laura, stepson Kevin (Lorna), brother Lars (Lil), family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his older brother. Søren enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading and helping his friends and neighbours. He worked at Federated Co-Op, Plywood Plant, on the dryer for 25 years.
Though Søren has departed this earthly realm, their legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May their spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church (170 Shuswap Street SE, Salmon Arm, BC V1E4H7).
