As Alice departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Alice may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Alice leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruurd Boonstra and Blijke Boonstra. She is survived by: her children, Rodney and Sonya; her granddaughter Dannaie; her siblings, Annie Jaarsma (Sid), Stan Boonstra (JoAnne), Hans Boonstra (Nancy) and Jochum Boonstra (Trijntje); her sister-in-law Grace Boonstra; and her husband Willem Oomen (Bill). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Sparrows Christian Housing.
