Eva Kallhood (Smithers, British Columbia) passed away on June 20, 2026. Eva, born on August 29, 1932 in Hague, Saskatchewan, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Giesbrecht and Nettie Giesbrecht. She is survived by: her significant other Ben Staebe; her sister Martha; her children, Linda, Dale, Kim (John) and Jean (Bruce); her grandchildren, Katie, Marleigh, Lindsay, Tim, Logan, Jody and Tanis; and her great grandchildren, Max, Jayce, Levi and Beau.
She also volunteered for local organizations – she especially enjoyed flipping hamburgers at the Fall Fair. And she didn't give up hairdressing – she had a salon in her home until 2020 when Covid hit and the family told her it was time to hang up the scissors.
