George Veenstra Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Veenstra of Smithers, British Columbia, who passed away on September 20, 2021 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Stoffer Veenstra and Grace Veenstra; his wife Tina Brandsma; his sons, Jason (Andrea), Brad (Laurie), Kevin (Lindsey), Stan and Daniel (Stephennie); his grandchildren, Rylan, Avery, Carter, Kamryn, Blake, Parker, Gavin, Morgan, Ben, Grace and Sam; and his siblings, John, Fettje, Hennie, Linda, Willie, Ted and Jenny.

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, masks and contact tracing information will be required and physical distancing protocols will be in place.

“Our sincere sympathy to Tina and all Veenstra's Families on the passing of your Husband, Father and Grand Father. George was a true friend with dedication and willingness to unquestionably help any one who needed his help. I personally lost my best friend who become a roll model to me in many ways.
