He was predeceased by : his parents, George and Agnes; his brothers, Gordie and Carl; and his nephew Brent Nibogie.

He is survived by : his wife Diana; his children, Jennifer Dykens (Daniel), Paul Adomeit (Ana), Carol Beemer (Ryan) and Brandon Whitecotton; his grandchildren, Molly, Avery, Riley, Claire, Alisha, Lucas, Marcus, Lucy and Gerald; and his sisters, Mary-Ann Bennett (Rich), Trudy Nibogie (Richard), Charlotte Adomeit and Bernadette Harding (David).
