​It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Ronald William Anderson, a beloved father and a true Sooke original. Ronald forged his own unique path in life, choosing to live simply and independently. He was a transient by choice, building various camps that served as his homes and sanctuaries.
​His family and friends will forever cherish the memory of his collector's spirit and the deep love he had for the treasures he discovered. Ronald’s distinctive presence was known to many in the Sooke community, and he will be deeply missed.
​A small, meaningful service open to the community of sooke is being planned to honor his life and legacy and will be announced. The family is asking for privacy at this time.
