Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Norman for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his wife Lynette; his daughter Marnie Lynn; and his brothers, Harold and Thor. He is survived by: his children, Don (Kath), Paul (Carla), Wendy and Nancy (Kevin); and his close friend Burt Wray. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
His quiet generosity has been immeasurable to his community; from being awoken in the middle of the night by Dr. Kindree as a teen to donate blood to save a life, working as a volunteer ambulance driver, wildfire fighter, helping with the construction of the Squamish United Church, donating to the Fire Hall, Public Pool, Squamish General Hospital, Lions Gate Hospital, and numerous charities.
