He was predeceased by: his mother Wilhelmina Vermeulen; his wife Teddy; his son Gordon; his grandson Robbert Vermeulen; and his great grandchild Joseph MacDougall.
He is survived by: his father Adrianus Vermeulen; his children, Robbert Miller (Marianne), Audrey MacDougall (Bill), Ralph Miller (Valerie) and Ingrid Elkins (Arlis); his grandchildren, Gordon MacDougall (Sandra), Michael MacDougall (Olivia), Craig MacDougall (Ashley), Arlis Elkins (Jennifer), Samantha Sandford (Scott), Tyler Miller, Spencer Miller (Rachel) and Carter Miller (Lexie); and his brother Fred Vermeulen (Trudy). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immanuel Covenant Reformed Church (35063 Page Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G1N8). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. Viewing will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Valley View Funeral Home (14660 72nd Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2E7). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Valley View Memorial Gardens (14660 72nd Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2E7).
