He was predeceased by: his former wife Frances Johnston (Eaton); his wife Denise Johnston (Dumas); his parents, Gladys Johnston and Peter Johnston; and his siblings, Olive, Gladys, Peter, Alan and Adrian.
He is survived by: his sons, Clive (Erlinda), Peter (Jo-Ann) and David; his grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Thomas, Chanel and Cody Johnston; and his sister Patricia Hunter (Johnston).
