He was predeceased by: his parents, Edson Askew (Bud) and Bud Askew; his brother Mick Askew; his sister-in-law Kathy Askew; and his parents-in-law, Gerardo Mesa and Rosalinda Mesa.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Askew (Mesa); his children, Natalie Aase (Justin) and Nicholas Askew (Kayla); his grandchildren, Elijah Aase (Chloe), Jonah Aase, Benjamin Aase, Viola Aase and Reid Askew; his siblings, Sandy Ekse (Bill), Bob Askew (Kathy) and Ron Askew (Vicki); and his siblings-in-law, Chris Mesa, Marissa Sanchez (Rod) and Sheila Lapitan (Jeffrey).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Lighthouse Christian Church (15353 92 Ave, Surrey, BC V3R1C3).
