With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dimitra Doukas (Surrey, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andreas. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Nikos, Andreas, Justin, Matthew, Joanna and Adrianna; and her daughters, Penny, Patty (Aggelos) and Tina (Tom). She is also survived by grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Valley View Funeral Home (14660 72nd Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2E7). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church (9635 132 St, Surrey, BC V3T3S5). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Valley View Memorial Gardens (14660 72nd Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2E7).
The family extends their gratitude to the loving caregivers in Poppy Place at Czorny Alzheimer Centre, where she spent her later years. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
