We announce the death of Eric Grantley Drayton (Surrey, British Columbia), who passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 88. Eric will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Drayton and Miriam Drayton; and his brother Anthony Drayton. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Beverley Drayton; his children, Marcia Pekard (Chris), Michael Drydgen, Antionette Drydgen, Corretta Eldemire, Dilip Sean Dryden, Matthew Drayton (Maureen) and Elise Drayton; and his sisters, Ornelle Collymore and Valrie Quintyne. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Valley View Funeral Home (14660 72nd Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2E7). Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Valley View Memorial Gardens (14660 72nd Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2E7). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the South Surrey Events Centre (3010 148 St, Surrey, BC V4P0G8).
