She was predeceased by: her parents, William Comerford and Catherine Comerford; her husband Douglas Whittaker Mcconkey; her children, Sandra Nelson, Cheryl Jaquez and Richard Mcconkey; and her siblings, William Comerford, Jack Comerford and Norine Mackie.

She is survived by: her sister MaryLou Potts; and her children, Catherine Baxter (Warren), John McConkey (Louise), Brian Mcconkey and Brett Mcconkey (Nancy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also an extraordinary knitter, producing thousands of handmade items for charity over the years, warming hearts and homes across her community.
