John David Fulgham Obituary
In Loving Memory of John David Fulgham June 15, 1945 - October 14, 2024 John Fulgham of Surrey, BC passed away on October 14, 2024. He was 79 years old. John was born on June 15, 1945 to Dorothy MacDonald and Arthur Fulgham in Campbell River, BC. After growing up in Cortes Island and Vancouver, BC, John enlisted in the armed forces in 1963 where he was a Military Forces Police officer for the Royal Canadian Air Force until his retirement in 1988. His career in the Canadian Armed Forces took him to several RCAF bases in the Lower Mainland of BC and in Norther Ontario throughout his career, as well as for several years to Baden Sollingen, Germany. After his retirement from the Armed Forces he worked in Loss Prevention for the BC Liquor Distribution Branch from 1988 until his retirement in 2005. John married Doris Way in 1979 in Chilliwack, BC. They had two children, Cassandra (1981) (Jeff) and Christopher (1985) (Pam) and settled down in Cloverdale, BC. John also had two children with his first wife Patricia Fudge, Jody (Joe, 1968) and Tonya (1970). After his retirement, John spent his leisure time working in his garden, working on remodeling projects with his brother Bill, spending time with his beloved rescue dogs, Rogue and Taffy, and cats, Anna and Sassy. He also enjoyed travelling, taking regular trips to Mexico and going on cruises with his wife Doris. John was predeceased by his brother Edward (Ted) and sister Ida. He is survived by his brother William (Bill) his wife and children, his cousin Joan, and several treasured nieces and nephews. His dry sense of humour and his strong belief in his children's ability to do anything they put their minds to will be much missed by his family. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
