It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Anita Lane (Surrey, British Columbia), who passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Kanelles and Joyce Kanelles. She is survived by: her husband Cliff; her daughters, Melissa Reimer (Justin) and Ashleigh Lane (Rodrigo Fey); her grandchildren, Aiden, Quinn, Hazel and Henry; her sister Teresa Collinet (Dennis); her niece Maria Gallardo (Francisco); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Luca and Lola; and her nephew Nickolas Collinet (Cam). She is also survived by extended family, friends.
For several years, Kathy was instrumental in designing and creating elaborate displays for Watershed Artworks' contribution to Delta's annual Luminary Festival, and she loved bringing their beautiful displays to life for everyone to enjoy. For her ongoing contributions to her community, Kathy was presented with the Mayor's Achievement Award for Outstanding Volunteer in 2023.
