Olga Strilesky Obituary
With deep love and profound sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Olga "Ollie" Strilesky at the age of 96, just two weeks shy of her 97th birthday. Ollie was raised in St. Michael, Alberta, in a humble dirt floor farmhouse. Her mother had immigrated from Ukraine to Canada, settling in Alberta to build a new life. She was predeceased by husband Michael and recently by her eldest son James (Jim). She leaves behind her children, Carol (Ric), Brian (Heather), daughter-in-law Beverly, her grandchildren Michael, Sasha, Justin and Parker, as well as 10 great grandchildren. Ollie will be remembered for her resilience, her humour, and the love she showed through both words and actions. Her legacy lives on in the Ukrainian traditions she passed down, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the family she cherished. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional caregivers at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village, whose compassion, kindness, and dedicated care brought comfort and dignity to Ollie for the final 6 years of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
