It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Olavi Laitinen of Surrey, British Columbia, who passed away on May 3, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Pentti Laitinen; his brother Matti; and his brother-in-law Howard of Veer. He is survived by : his mother Aino Laitinen; his wife Diana Lee Smith; his children, Tyler Glen Laitinen (Natalie) and Jaimie Leanne Laitinen; his grandchildren, Evan and Quinn Finnie; his daughter Cierra Nicole Rudy (Matthew); and his siblings, Helena Holton (Lance), Kristina and John Laitinen (Jukka). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Peter never felt too old to work and couldn't wait for spring this year after the pandemic halted his ability to work for the past 2 years.
