We announce the death of Robert Douglas Linklater (Surrey, British Columbia), who passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 76. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Robert will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Robert will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Robert’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Doug and Marion; and his brother-in-law Tim Tulloch. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, Mary Catherine Scally, Don (Melanie) and Christine Hood (Rob); his siblings, Lynne Rankin (Doug), Jim (Debbie Jo) and Jayne Tulloch; and his mother-in-law Lena. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, his many nieces and nephews.
