Though Sumie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sumie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Itsuma Nogata and Hatsue Nogata. She is survived by: her siblings, Ikuho, Toshiro, Mutsuro, Toshie, Keiko and Sumihiro (California); her daughter Patti; her granddaughter Kiko; and her spouse Shigeshi.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Memorial Funeral Services, Fraser Heights Chapel (14835 Fraser Hwy, Surrey, BC V3R3N6).
